Landscape Painters Anonymous is a roving watercolour workshop, focused on the leisurely pursuit of observational landscape painting. All ages and experience levels are welcome, including anyone who hasn’t painted before. The painting sessions are informal, although some guidance will be offered. Participants will be provided with paints, brushes and paper, although you’re welcome to bring your own.

Meet at the walled garden at Penrose and walk as a group to a picturesque location, find a spot to settle and spend the session painting what you see. If you would like to join a group please book a free place on eventbrite.

Simon is an artist and music producer based in St Ives. He works in slipware ceramics, video, poetry, watercolour painting and performance.

On Tuesday 10 August Simon will run a session specifically for young people (suggested ages 13 – 18). The group will meet at CAST at 11am and set out to find a place to paint in the historic centre of Helston. If the weather is bad, the session will take place in a studio at CAST. To book a place please contact [email protected]
