CAST offers free half-term printmaking workshops led by Catherine Haines and Sally Cole for participants of all ages and abilities.
Catherine studied Printmaking at the Royal College of Art in London. She is an experienced teacher and workshop leader and her workshops involve drypoint, drawing, monoprinting, leaf printing, hand tinting and relief. Sally Cole has a studio in the CAST building and her prints and posters are well known throughout the county.
The focus of this workshop is on experimentation and play. Participants should wear old clothes or bring an apron and will be able to take work home. No previous experience is needed and absolute beginners are welcome.
There will be two three-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Early booking is recommended as places are likely to fill up fast. The minimum age for participants is eight and under-12s must be accompanied by an adult. The workshop is free, but donations towards the cost of materials will be greatly appreciated.

The public programme at CAST is supported by Arts Council England, as part of the Groundwork programme 2016-18, which has been awarded Ambition for Excellence funding. Ambition for Excellence is a new programme aimed at stimulating and supporting ambition, talent and excellence across the arts sector in England. The fund aims to have significant impact on the growth of an ambitious international-facing arts infrastructure, especially outside London.
