CAST Café Geographic series screens documentary Lie of the Land and welcomes director Molly Dineen for a Q&A after the film.

Following, amongst others, rural communities on the Lizard peninsular and in North Cornwall, ‘Lie of the Land’ explores the shocking and harsh realities of life as a British farmer. Squeezed by supermarkets and increasing legislation from DEFRA, farmers are worried about whether they can sustain their way of life.

Molly Dineen is one of Britain’s most acclaimed contemporary documentary filmmakers, known for her intimate and probing portraits of British individuals and institutions.

A CAST Café supper will be served beforehand from 6.30pm. Something hot and something sweet for £6.
