Pilchard packing, stone polishing and water play.

Follow the lane from Ruan Minor to the magical Poltesco Valley to dance, make and play. Explore the old serpentine works and seek out our activities in the orchard, along the footpaths and on the beach. Polish your own piece of unique Lizard serpentine. Make pilchards from clay. Make and launch barges from the tiny quay on the beach. We’re bringing some treat buns, but be sure to bring a picnic and plenty to drink as the beach is remote and accessible only by footpath.

All the activities are free and offered on a drop-in basis, no booking required. Donations welcome.

We won’t be put off by a bit of drizzle and hope you won’t either, but check on the day in case of extreme weather or last-minute changes.
