Choreographer Katrina Brown is looking for people to be part of a new performance work produced in and for CAST’s school assembly hall. This will be a one-day workshop exploring choreographic configurations of people assembling and disassembling – working with breath, rhythm, gravity and simple group actions to enliven walls and floor. The workshop will lead to an evening performance event.

The morning will be spent working with the body and exploring movement, with increasing connection, sensitivity and awareness towards other bodies and to the architectural and material details of the space. In the afternoon these ideas will be developed choreographically and a collective performance score will be produced. No dance experience is necessary. Contact Katrina for more information and to book a place on the workshop: [email protected]

In the evening members of the public are invited to gather in the hall to watch, sense, hear and immerse themselves in the group performance. Admission is free, no booking required.

Katrina is an interdisciplinary choreographer working with performance, drawing and digital technology. Her work, including the durational drawing series She’s only doing this: scores, operates across dance, live art and visual art contexts. She is Senior Lecturer Dance and Choreography at Falmouth University.
