CAST-Away Summer 2022, design by Lucy Grant

Our CAST-Off programme of free artist-led creative activities returns this summer, with sessions taking place on Saturdays from 30 July to 20 August in the walled garden at National Trust Penrose.

CAST-Off sessions run from 10am to 12 noon and 2 to 4pm, with activities including pigment making, pinch pottery, wood construction, clay modelling, botanical exploration, cyanotype photography and nature-based printmaking.

All the activities are free and offered on a drop-in basis, no booking required. Donations welcome.

We won’t be put off by a bit of drizzle and hope you won’t either, but check on the day in case of extreme weather or last-minute changes.

This summer, for the first time, CAST is also taking its programme of creative adventures out to the Lizard peninsula. These take place each Wednesday from 3 to 24 August. For more information click here.

CAST-Off and CAST-Away are made possible by the generous support of The National Lottery Community Fund, FEAST, the Garcia Family Foundation and Helston Town Council.
