Artist Lucy Grant will lead a free drop-in mask-making workshop inspired by springtime folk ritual and costume. Use a range of materials including papier mâché, collage and paint to create your masks. Get into character using the masks and a selection of props and take photos in the photo booth.

All materials will be provided. Minimum age 4, under-14s should be accompanied by an adult.

CAST’s pop up Café will be open from 11am to 4pm, offering coffee and cakes and delicious Saturday brunch.

The public programme at CAST is supported by Arts Council England, as part of the Groundwork programme 2016-18, which has been awarded Ambition for Excellence funding. Ambition for Excellence is a new programme aimed at stimulating and supporting ambition, talent and excellence across the arts sector in England. The fund aims to have significant impact on the growth of an ambitious international-facing arts infrastructure, especially outside London.

This workshop is part of the national Get Creative initiative, run by a group of cultural organisations to celebrate and support the everyday creativity happening in homes and public spaces.
