William Arnold returns to CAST to lead introductory workshops in camera-less photography. No experience is required and absolute beginners are welcome. Under-12s must be accompanied by an adult, minimum age eight.
Participants will learn how to use the cyanotype process to make prints of botanical specimens collected from around Helston. The prints made will contribute towards a ‘Helston Herbarium’, a collection of botanical prints based on the urban weeds found growing on a single day in Helston, and can be taken home after the session.
William Arnold is an artist with a particular interest in historical and alternative photographic processes. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
There will be two three-hour sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Early booking is recommended as places are likely to fill up fast. The workshops are free and materials are provided, but donations towards the cost of materials will be greatly appreciated.
