'Lombardia 2016', from the Anthology of Rural Life, Oliver Udy and Colin Robins

Robins and Udy discuss their ongoing project documenting the continuities and shifts in patterns of contemporary rural life.

The Anthology of Rural Life is a collaborative photographic project that aims to document rural life in a number of peripheral European regions, including Cornwall. Colin Robins and Oliver Udy produce large format portraits, supplemented by landscape images of the various locations visited. They will discuss the project, its context, and their plans to develop it in the future. Both are photographers and teachers based in Cornwall.

The public programme at CAST is supported by Arts Council England, as part of Groundwork 2016-18, which has been awarded Ambition for Excellence funding. Ambition for Excellence is a new programme aimed at stimulating and supporting ambition, talent and excellence across the arts sector in England. The fund aims to have significant impact on the growth of an ambitious international-facing arts infrastructure, especially outside London.
